Petit Basque - French Sheep Cheese - Approx. 1.4Lbs
This pure sheep's milk cheese comes from the France's "Basque" region. It is made with pasteurized sheep's milk and aged for over two months. Deeply nutty, dense with a firm, smooth. moist and butter-colored texture, it is creamy on the tongue but less piquant and less sheepy than its Spanish counterpart the "Manchego" cheese. Try it with black cherry preserves like the locals do. Pairs well with a "Madiran" red wine.
