The Web Site is operated by Mercati Traianei Corp hereinafter referred to as ‘’Le Village’’. "You" and "you" refer to the person, company or other legal entity that accesses and uses the Web Site. The "Product(s)" collectively refer(s) to Gourmet Foods, Home and Beauty Products and any other Products available to order on the Web Site.

Le Village understands the importance you place on the privacy and security of information that personally identifies you or your account information, and considers the responsible use of personal information to be an essential element in respecting the privacy of Le Village customers and the Web Site visitors. Le Village refers to and treats this information as "Personal Information", and this Privacy Statement (the "Privacy Statement") describes Le Village practices with respect to your Personal Information.

A. Data collection. 

You can visit the Web Site without telling Le Village who you are and without revealing any Personal Information about yourself. There are times, however, when Le Village may need information from you, including but not limited to your first and last names, and home and e-mail addresses. Le Village explicitly asks when it needs information that personally identifies you. An example of when Le Village may need such information is if you choose to create an account or to place an order.

In the course of using the Web Site, the IP address (the Internet address of a computer) is logged to track a user's session while the user remains anonymous. Le Village analyzes this data for certain trends and statistics, such as which parts of the Web Site users are visiting and how much time they spend there. Le Village does not link your IP address to anything that personally identifies you.

If you send messages to Le Village via emails, Le Village may store such information in a file specific to you. Le Village uses information in the file maintained about you, and other information about your current and past use of the Web Site services, to resolve disputes, technical problems and enforce Le Village Terms and Conditions.

Le Village does not collect Personal Information from those identifying themselves as less than 18 years of age. Le Village encourages parents to take an active role in their children's use of the Internet and to spend time online with their children.

When Le Village receives information about your session or about you, it may use it for demographic statistics, to improve the Web Site, and to display advertisements that are likely to be of interest to you. When you choose to give Le Village personal and sensitive information over the Internet, Le Village protects such information both online and off-line. The Web Site offers the use of its own secure server, and industry-standard software to safeguard the confidentiality of your transmissions, such as firewalls and SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology.

The Web Site secure server is kept locked in a secure data center, and The Web Site secure server software encrypts all information you input before it is sent to Le Village. These are the same technologies that reputable web sites use to safeguard credit cards and other personal information.

D. "E-mail to a friend" service.

If you elect to use our "E-mail to a Friend" service, Le Village will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the Web Site. Le Village stores your friend's first and last names, and email address for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.

E. Cookies.

The use of cookies is a standard in the e-commerce industry. A cookie is a small file that may be placed on your hard disk for record-keeping purposes. Cookies help Le Village remember who you are but do not contain personally identifiable information. Cookies also help Le Village to enhance your experience of the Web Site, and to provide advertising that is targeted to your interests. You must have cookies enabled in your browser's security settings to use the shipping cart function of the Web Site.

F. Third party web sites.

Le Village Privacy Statement only addresses the use and disclosure of information the Web Site collects from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the Personal Information you disclose to them. Le Village may, from time to time, with or without notice to you, and in Le Village sole discretion, amend this Privacy Statement. Le Village will always post the current Privacy Statement on the Web Site so that you are always aware of what information Le Village collects, how Le Village uses it, and under what circumstances Le Village may disclose it.

If at any time you believe that Le Village has not adhered to the above principles, please notify us by e-mail at privacy@levillage.com, and Le Village will use all commercially reasonable efforts to promptly determine and correct the problem.
